Field Trip Selection Process There is not a day that goes by that we don’t get asked to have a certain place write us to be included on the field trip guide.  Here is the criteria that we use: 1. Are we able to communicate with them?  If a venue is not responsive to our e-mails, we are not certain that they will communicate well with visitors. 2. Is there an educational  value?  3.  Cost. Sometimes we will be interested or disinterested in a place based upon the value of the venue.      For example: A garden that is free for school trips might get a quicker inclusion than a place that has a fee. 4.  Location. We seek venues that are within an hour or so from the City we are focused on.   An example would be us including a Los Angeles venue in our Los Angeles category and not in San Diego.
